Whats your Saturday Moment!!!
It's been an early start for the day for me, knowing the fact that it was a Saturday. Though I managed fighting the Premier August Mauritian cold winds and managed getting out from my bed. Since its a Saturday I generally have at least 5 different newspapers though all have pretty much the same information, I was surprised to see what's happening in this country,
apparently some famous coiffure (hair stylist) from France has opened up a new saloon after making his mark in UK and France. Mind you this is the Page 5 news. The Ebene Cyber City is getting clouded by the new skyscrapers , Politicians still arguing over Air Mauritius Fuel Hedging issue and then Mauritius is becoming the hub for Cyber It business in Africa and not to forget those million dollar Villas which are up for sale in literally every corner of the island. Gosh, I wish I could buy one of those as this is what I call sheer Luxury.
After going through I went to my favourite page of Horse racing, Since it's a Saturday, half the country is busy calculating which horse will be winning, No offense to people who bet on horses but its not for me, but it still fascinates me how much money is being put and how is lost.
Taking advantage of the weather which turned favourable for me, I decided to take a book and drive down to the beach, at the Flic-en-Flac beach, I was amazed with the turquoise sea and its breeze, with breeze and the sounds of crashing waves, I closed my eyes , kept my book aside and woke up to witness the divine and eternal sunset.
This definitely gave me some positivity and some thoughts as to what I want to achieve and where I belong.
Without wasting anytime I packed my stuff and came back home, checked some mails, see what's happening on Facebook( Did I tell you I am addicted to Facebook ) .
Now with the young and sweet memories of the day I am out to enjoy the Mauritian nightlife, the government of Mauritius has called for a 24/7 shopping and lights festival in the capital city, Port Louis. I will be attending a concert, it seems some famous DJ from India is playing in Les Salines tonight and me and my friends are up for Saturday Night Fever.
Though I know at about 4 a.m. on our way back home we will be starving and will be enjoying the freshly made Dhol Puris ( Mauritian bread more like a Mauritian Version of Indian breads) in Quatre Bornes which would have just opened and will be flocked with all the Saturday Night victims. After such a splendid night I always make it a point that I gather and save all my energy to witness the Sunday Sunrise. Oh Dear Lord, I truly believe what Mark Twain said, God created Mauritius and then made a copy called Heaven.
So what's your Saturday Moment.!!!! Will you be celebrating a Saturday in Mauritius??
